Moody’s changes Hungary’s Baa3 sovereign rating to “Positive”

According to the comments by the Finance Minister Mihaly Varga, Moody’s recent assessment had indeed reflected the increasing strength of Hungarian economic policy.

He also indicated that Moody’s had recognised Hungary for showing considerable resilience, when compared to other European states, based upon the country’s performance in recent years. The Finance Minister communicated that the agency (Moody’s) expects continued growth for the Hungarian economy, once the epidemic is over. In addition he pointed out that other ratings agencies, had similar impressions to Moody’s, about Hungary, adding that they recommend Hungary’s sovereign debt as investment grade.
